The Process
From first enquiry to the final slice, the process is designed to feel simple, personal, and enjoyable. Every couple receives the same care and attention to detail, ensuring the experience of creating your wedding cake is as memorable as the cake itself.

Step One: The Enquiry
The best way to begin is through the website enquiry form, where you can check availability for your date and share details about your venue, guest numbers, and overall style. You are also welcome to get in touch by email or Instagram, though enquiries through the form are easiest to track.
Once I’ve confirmed availability, I’ll send you an overview of how the process works along with a detailed questionnaire. This helps me understand the style of your wedding, the design you’re drawn to, and the scale of your celebration so I can provide an initial price guide based on guest numbers, size, and overall style.
I aim to reply to all enquiries within 48 hours (messages received on a Friday may be answered the following Monday).
Step Two: Securing Your Date
A non-refundable £50 booking fee secures your wedding date in my diary. This fee covers the time taken to hold your date and prepare for the design stage.
Once your date is confirmed, you’ll be invited to book a design consultation via Zoom, which can take place straight away or closer to the wedding once your other details are finalised.

Step Three: Consultation and Design
The consultation is an informal conversation where we explore the details of your wedding and bring your ideas together. We’ll discuss your colour palette, flowers, venue styling, textures, and any design elements you’d love to include. I’ll also offer flavour recommendations based on your preferences and the season.
After our discussion, I’ll create a set of digital sketches showing a few design directions tailored to your day, along with a detailed quotation for each option. This ensures you can visualise the finished cake before anything is finalised.
Step Four: Flavour Tasting
Tasting boxes are available every three months, offering the chance to sample the flavours before making your final selections. Each box includes a range of flavours made with seasonal Somerset ingredients and costs £35 plus postage.
You can choose between two curated flavour boxes, each designed to highlight a mix of classic and contemporary combinations.

Step Five: Final Details
Around six weeks before your wedding, I’ll invite you to book a short call to confirm every detail of your cake, including flavours, design elements, and delivery arrangements. The final balance is due four weeks before your wedding.
In the week leading up to your celebration, I’ll liaise directly with your venue coordinator or planner, and your florist if your cake includes fresh flowers.
Step Six: Delivery and Setup
On your wedding day, I will personally deliver and set up your cake at the agreed time. Setup is handled discreetly and with care, with additional styling for the cake table if required.
An allergen sheet, cutting guide, and setup handover are provided to your venue or catering team. A quick photo confirmation ensures your cake looks exactly as planned before I leave you to enjoy your day.
I deliver across Somerset and the South of England, and am happy to travel further where required.

Step Seven: After the Day
Cake stands or display equipment can be hired if required. These are sent in a postal return box for easy return after your wedding.
Allergen information is always handled with care. While every effort is made to minimise cross-contact, all major allergens are used in my kitchen, so cakes cannot be guaranteed allergen-free.
Every part of the process is designed to be effortless and personal, from the first sketch to the final slice. Whether you’re drawn to a classic tiered design or something modern and sculptural, each cake is created to reflect your story and the season it’s made for.

Bringing Your Design to Life
Each classic design begins with a discussion about the tone and setting of your celebration. During your consultation, we’ll explore finishes, styles, and traditional techniques that best reflect your day. Whether you’re drawn to intricate piping, smooth ganache, or soft buttercream, every design is created with precision and an appreciation for timeless craftsmanship.
Classic designs of three tiers and under are suitable for collection, and clear storage and transport guidance will be provided to ensure safe delivery to your venue.
